Fulda ladies to be honored by the Bishop of the Catholic Church. On July 8th His Excellency Bishop Fitzgerald will confer the Bishop’s Catholic Action Medal on Mrs. Frank F. Kirchner and Mrs. Cecilia Wisdorf.
An open house was held for Mr. and Mrs. John Coffitt of Minneapolis on Sunday, June 15 on the occasion of their 35th wedding anniversary.
Mrs. Al Roles, the former Mildred Henkels, passed away at Minneapolis after a four month illness at the age of 38 years.
Judy Busch placed second in the pole bending contest at the third annual Minnesota State High School Rodeo held in Granite Falls on June 27, 28, 29.
Margaret Lynch died Tuesday at St. Mary’s hospital in Minneapolis where she had been a patient since October. The funeral service will be held in Fulda.
The class of 1947 spent time on Sunday visiting, reading letters and looking at pictures those unable to attend the reunion.
Mrs Handy spent time at the home of her daughter Mrs. Emil Pollack as she attended the wedding of her granddaughter, Mary Lea Pollack.
Mr. and Mrs. Ferydoon Ghaffari are the parents of a daughter, Cynthia Joan, born June 21st. Mr. and Mrs. Walter Peterson are the grandparents.
Mr. and Mrs. David Stumm are the parents of a son, Jerome David, born June 25th at the Slayton hospital.
Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Reith are the parents of a son born on June 25th at the Slayton hospital.
Mr.a nd Mrs. Charles Sauer Jr. are the parents of a daughter, born June 25th at the Slayton hospital.

As the temperature reaches the 90 degree mark children flock to Seven-Mile Lake to cool off in the luke warm water.

The Fulda Raider Marching Band under the direction of Mr. Eldred Quarnstrom will leave July 13th for the Sheridan-Wyo-Rodeo where they will be the special Guest Band for the annual celebration.
A short power outage was caused when a youth from Heron Lake struck a high line pole about one and one half miles west of Heron Lake with his pickup on Saturday at about 11:30 p.m. Fulda was temporarily out of electricity while the automatic throw-over switched to a different power source. Heron Lake and Okabena were out for 40 minutes while Dundee and Kinbrae residents were in the dark for about six hours.
On a unanimous vote, the Fulda City Council decided to sell both the “On” and “Off” sale liquor store owned by the City.
Mr. and Mrs. Bruce Bultmann proudly announce the birth of Kristin Marie born June 29th at the Worthington Regional Hospital. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schmidt and Mr. and Mrs. Wally Verdugt. Great grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Henry Bultmann and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Beckman.
Robert L. Anderson, 50, passed away at the Worthington hospital on June 17th.

The Fulda Germany band arrived in the U.S.A. this week and were welcomed by a group of Fulda Minnesotans as they plan to entertain during this year’s festival.
Henry Wisdorf passed away at the Maple Lawn Nursing Home on July 1, 1988 at the age of 83 years old.
Reuben Hartman was called out of this life early Monday evening, June 20, 1988 at the Methodist Hospital in Mitchell, South Dakota at the age of 72 years 1 month and 2 days.
Charlotte Cohen and Robert Hardekopf announce their engagement. A February 11, 1989 wedding at is being planned.
Sharee Koster and Mike Van Voorst announce their engagement. The couple plan an August 13th wedding in Worthington.
