Fulda's 7th Annual Farm, Home, and Garden Show will be held this weekend at the Fulda Legion/Community Hall.

The many exhibitors at the show will be offering information about their businesses and displaying products which may be of benefit on the farm,

or in the home or garden.

One of the exhibitors this year who will be offering beneficial health information is the Murray County Medical Center. The Murray County Medical Center, which is a member of Sanford Health, is based in Slayton, MN, and offers both a clinic and a hospital there. An outreach clinic is located on St. Paul Avenue in Fulda, MN

As part of the Murray County Medical Center's educational display, Diabetic Education Services staff will be on hand to do free blood sugar testing during Saturday's event. The testing will be done by Alane Lorenzen, RN, and Sharon Diedrich, LPN. The public is invited to stop by the booth and ask questions and get information about diabetes. The goal of the free testing is to educate the public about diabetes prevention and care in Murray County. Individual consultation and group classes are part of the Diabetes Self-Management Program that is offered through Murray County Medical Center. The program covers healthy eating, being active, monitoring of blood sugar, medication, problem solving, reducing risks of complications and healthy coping with diabetes.

Other information that will be shared at the Murray County Medical Center booth with those who are in attendance at the Fulda Farm, Home, and Garden Show will be about the services offered by the medical center including emergency room coverage, ambulance services, laboratory

services, radiology, CT, MRI, massage therapy, physical therapy, respiratory care, cardiac rehabilitation, orthopedic and general surgery services.

Information will also be provided about outreach specialty services which the Murray County Medical Center can provide.

The Murray County Clinic-Fulda is open from 9 a.m. to noon Monday through Friday for provider appointments. Staff is available at the clinic from 7:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. so that patients can make appointments, have lab tests, or blood pressure tests done. The receptionist at Murray County Clinic-Fulda can be reached by calling 507-425-2300. All of the providers who come to the Murray County Clinic-Fulda see patients ranging from pediatrics to the elderly. Dr. Brian Pratt is at the Fulda clinic on Mondays, Lesli Kramer, PA-C, is there on Tuesdays, Dr. Carol Lang is present on Wednesdays, Dan Woldt, PA-C, is available on Thursdays, Stacy Slettum, CNP, is at Fulda on Fridays and Megan Schryvers, CNP, fills in as needed.

The Murray County Medical Center has announced that Dr. David Rosenblum will begin seeing patients with a specialty in internal medicine in the fall of this year.

Murray County Medical Center has provided the sponsors of the Fulda Farm, Home, and Garden Show with door prizes of mugs, pill caddies, and hand sanitizers to be given out during the event.

Other items will be available to the public through a sign- up drawing at the Murray County Medical Center booth.

Be sure to make a visit to the Fulda Farm, Home, and Garden Show on Saturday.
