William V. (Bill) Weber announced that he will seek Doug Magnus' seat
On Monday, Senator Doug Magnus announced that he would not seek re-election to the Senate District 22 seat. On Tuesday, William V. (Bill) Weber announced that he will seek that seat.

“With the announcement by State Senator Doug Magnus that he will not seek another term, the people of Senate District 22 realize a great loss of solid, conservative leadership in the State Senate. Recognizing that loss and the need for continued strong leadership, I am announcing my candidacy for the Minnesota State Senate! I will seek the Republican Party endorsement for this seat,” Weber announced.

Weber, who grew up on a farm, has been a lifelong resident of District 22. He attended Luverne Elementary, Junior and Senior High School. He received a Professional Accounting Degree from Nettleton Business College.

His professional career began at Jensen and Jensen Accounting and Jensen Management Service in 1976. In 1978, he became a partner in Jensen Management Service. In 1987 he became the president of the firm and purchased the business in 1988. Jensen Management Service is a real estate appraisal, management, brokerage and consulting firm located in Luverne, MN.
