Zach Holt kicked off for the Raiders, Friday night. SWU couldn't get the ball rolling and soon had to punt. Trevor returned the punt for 40 solid yards. At 9:22 Todd Peterson made a pass to John Getting for an 11 yard touchdown. Raiders played tough defense. Raiders finding the jazz found Todd Peterson passing to Zach Holt for a 37 yard pass/run touchdown. After a couple of plays from SWU Trevor intercepted the ball at the Raider 44 yard line. Zach Holt caught a pass from Todd Peterson making a 53 yard touchdown at 5:12. The two point conversion was made by Zach Holt also. Ryan Schumacher kicked and recovered his own kick on SWU's 43 yard line. After a short time SWU intercepted the ball and John Getting taking the lead sacked the quarterback. SWU marched down the field to score a touchdown and a two point conversion to end the first quarter. Raiders started at their own 42 yard line to kick off the second quarter. Mason Trejo caught a nice pass to gain first down yardage for the Raiders. Nathan Getting caught and ran a 41 yard touchdown with 8:48 on the clock. Mason Trejo made the two point conversion. SWU answered back gaining a touchdown and two point conversion at 2:35. SWU kicked but the Raiders fumbled and the Wildcats recovered at their 47 yard line. Shortly after SWU fumbled and multiple Raiders hoped on the ball to gain control once again. In two plays Zach Holt ran 16 yards. With .28 short seconds left in the half Nathan Getting caught and ran the ball for a 15 yard touchdown. John Getting made the two point conversion. To begin the second half Raiders began on their own 35 yard line. John Getting caught a really nice 35 yard pass from Todd Peterson. To keep the Raiders spark alive John Getting and Todd Peterson connected once again making a 36 yard pass/run touchdown. Mason Trejo scored the two point conversion at 7:54. With 1:12 on the board the Wildcats ran in a touchdown and a two point conversion. Zach Holt flew down the grass to return the kick for an 80 yard touchdown. Late in the fourth quarter Wildcats were in scoring range and ran in another touchdown. Raider Zach Holt stopped the two point conversion. With the time ticking at 5:02 Trevor Rusech ran a huge 47 yard touchdown. To keep the fans on their toes the Wildcats scored a final touchdown as the buzzer sounded to end the game. Coach Pagel said “We are happy to get a win and with the way things turned out.” Pagel also said he was proud of how the special teams played too.
