Last Friday afternoon following the annual Pep Fest, 43 elementary students continued to get into the Homecoming Spirit by attending the FCCLA sponsored Homecoming party. After having a snack, all of the students got busy making their own pom-poms, a football wind catcher and a large poster for the football players.

Black pom-poms made from old VCR tapes and a little duct tape were a real hit. Aluminum cans spray painted brown were the focal point of the football wind catcher. After putting on white stickers to resemble the seam of the football, streamers and a yarn hanger were attached. Black tag board and white markers made making the football posters a lot of fun. You see the children posing with their posters on the bleachers of the field.

After all the crafts were completed, the students enjoyed playing games on the football practice field. What a fun way to focus on team spirit and respect for others! Watch for more information about other upcoming activities hosted by the Jr. High FCCLA Chapter. This event was planned and conducted by Orin Kaufman and Mathias Kunerth.
