New recycling carts will be distributed in Fulda

Fulda City Council
The Fulda City Council extended the refuse contract with Schaap Sanitation for five years. New recycling carts will be provided to each residential pick up in Fulda. The 95 gallon carts will be paid for with a one dollar increase in the recycling fee for the next five years.

The council voted to spend another $3600 to trim trees in the city. $10,000 has already been spent on boulevard trees in the last two months. It was estimated there is about five days left to finish the job.

A chemist will be here this week on the water quality and make recommendations.

A texting and driving rally was approved for May of 2013. The event run by Taylor Kenney and Marissa Kunerth will be at the ambulance/police hall.

$3550 was the top bid for the 2003 Chevy Impala police car.

Larimie Wynia will be working with the city on a sales tax audit. Wynia, working thru SMU, will spend 15 hours on the program.

In other business, the council approved an amendment of a Maple Lawn Nursing Home revenue bond. A local board of appeal and equalization was established. An exempt permit was approved for Murray County Pheasants Forever.

The next regular meeting will be Monday November 5th.
