Agnes (Lohse) Medvec, 86, of Tracy, Montana died on October 22, 2012 at Peace Hospice in Great Falls. Agnes was born on July 12, 1926 to Chris and Matilda (Henkels) Lohse in Heron Lake. She graduated from Heron Lake High School in 1943 and went on to attend the Electronic Radio TV Institute in Minneapolis. She graduated from there as a radio operator. She moved to Great Falls, Montana where she was employed at Western Airlines as a radio operator. She met and later married Bill Medvec in 1947. They settled at the Medvec family home in Sand Coulee. Agnes was a great cook and baker. She worked many years for the school lunch program. She is survived by her daughter, Susan (Les) Morgan, Helena, MT, three sons, Michael (Carol) Vancouver, WA, Bruce (Debbie), Tracy, MT, Gary (Brenda), Helena, MT; one brother, Bill (Agnes) Lohse, four sisters, Gen Mocol, Mankato, Frances Wolitski, Atlanta, GA, Lorraine (Ralph) Witzel and Betty (Paul) Olsem, both of Fulda; eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Bill in April 2012, her parents, two brothers-in-laws and a niece. Funeral services were held October 27th at Holy Spirit Catholic Church with burial at Sand Coulee Cemetery. |
