Thursday, December 6, 1962

Rev. Spear will conduct mission at St. Gabriel's Church December 16-21.

Lighted candelabra and flowers on the alter provided the setting at St. Gabriel's Catholic Church on December 1 for the marriage of Joan Kuehl and Donald Kramer.

The Fulda Education Association are assisting in the project of a Nursing Home for the Fulda community and area by constructing the financial progress sign for the fundraising.

Anna Marie Schuster and William E. Johnson were united in marriage on November 24th at Immanuel American Lutheran Church at Pfingsten.

Ray Olson, a rural mail carrier out of Dundee for forty-three years, made his last trip as regular carrier on December 1 as he has retired.

The “thriller” that took place Friday evening and was not on a television screen, but in our high school auditorium. The basketball game was a battle right down to the final buzzer with a score of Mountain Lake 45 and the Fulda Raiders 47.

Mr. and Mrs. Donald Vanderheiden are the parents of twin boys born Monday.

Mr. and Mrs. LeRoy Schmidt are the parents of a daughter born November 30th. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Merl Johnson and Mr. and Mrs. William Schmidt.

Thursday, December 2, 1982

The Fulda VFW presented a new United States flag to the City of Fulda on Tuesday.

Santa will arrive in Fulda on Saturday to visit with all the local children.

The Fulda City Council opened the five bids for a three-year contract for hauling residential garbage at a recent meeting. The Council tabled action until the December 13th meeting. The council also reviewed bids for pagers for the Fulda Fire Department. A demonstration of different systems will be available at the next meeting.

A successful hunting season was enjoyed as 29 out of 31 muzzleloaders reportedly filled their tags.

Laurie Tuinstra and Lance Janssen were united in marriage on October 8, 1982 at the First Presbyterian Church in Lake Park, Iowa.

Diane Wills and Joel Goettig announced their engagement. A June 11 wedding has been planned.

Mr. and Mrs. Michael Crowley are the proud parents of a boy, Eric, born December 6th.

Harry N. Gehl became ill at his home and passed away unexpectedly on November 30th.

Wednesday, December 2, 1992

The Fulda Raider Marching Band will be traveling to Washington D.C. to participate in the National Independence Day parade and festival in July.

The Piecemakers Quilt Club has created a quilt, which they donated to the Fulda Ambulance Association to raffle off as a fundraiser.

The Fulda Women of Today are holding a Lights of the Week contest. So get yours homes decorated for the Holiday.

Emily Laubach is “local voice of Democracy” winner.

Senior Profiles feature Becky Zins and Anna Klein.

Fulda FFA members, Dan Bierma, Steve Ossefoort, Rhonda Rehborg and Jolleen Wiener attend the National FFA Convention in Kansas City.

Fulda Raider boy's basketball returning letterwinners are Terry Kirchner, Brad Carroll, Jeremy Carlson, Mike Bolton and Brent Miller.

Shawn Prouty passed away in a car accident on Friday evening at the age of 31.

Citizens of Tomorrow include Michael Hulstein, Anthony Zins, and Wade Herrmann.
