Maple Lawn Pink Ladies held their annual Christmas Party on Monday afternoon in the living room at Maple Lawn Nursing Home. Entertainment for the event was students from Fulda Elementary School who sang a variety of holiday songs including Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star and a Christmas duet by Aiden Lang and Gunnar McNab. Mrs. Claus was on hand to enjoy the entertainment and to entertain the residents. She talked about Santa Claus being further south and the fact that there is no snow....yet. With a couple of helpers beside her, Mrs. Claus visited with each resident and presented them with treat bags filled with Caramel Puff Corn and marshmallow Christmas treats. The only problem was that two residents received bags filled with coal....and we all know what that means!!! But after they promised to try harder to be good, Mrs. Claus said she would add their names to Santa’s list anyway! Coffee, Christmas goodies, and good cheer were served to all. |
