Former Commissioner William Sauer, of Fulda, Minnesota was honored at the December 17, 2012 Southwest Minnesota Chief Elected Officials Board (CEOB) meeting for 20 years of dedicated service to the CEOB Board. Bill represented Murray County throughout his term on the Murray County Commissioner Board. Bill was recognized for his long term commitment and dedication to providing expertise into addressing workforce development needs in the region.
The Southwest Minnesota Chief Elected Officials Board is comprised of a County Commissioner from each of the fourteen Counties in southwest Minnesota. The CEOB county representatives serve as the liaison between the CEOB Board, the Workforce Council and their individual counties on employment and training issues. The CEOB Board appoints members to the SW MN Workforce Council, oversees and approves the Workforce Investment Act (WIA) Local Unified Plan and provides review and oversight of fiscal and program resources.
