Winter in the Fulda area really hasn’t been “bad”. There are no huge piles of snow to navigate around. No days of school have been cancelled due to inclement weather. There have not been long-lastiing power outages due to ice build-up. (Although it is true that the ice has been quite treacherous for many resulting in several area folks suffering severe to mild bodily injuries.) Spring will begin at 7:02 a..m. on March 20th. Hhhmmmm.....that is stiill seven and one-half weeks of winter! Which means a few more weeks of cold and dark nights. Those two factors drive area residents to find hobbies to help occupy the time that they are currently spending indoors. There are a large variety of hobbies that individuals do to pass the time - to relax -- to create beautiful items to decorate homes and give as gifts - to bring more enjoyment to living.
