Earlier in the season, the Fulda Raiders had a tough time controlling what has been a dominant force in the Red Rock Conference all season long. When the two first met, the Southwest Minnesota Christian Eagles flew high above the Raiders and cruised to an 88-30 victory over Fulda. This past Thursday was no different for the Raiders and the woes continued from where they left off on January 15th as the Eagles used their dominant offense once again to take down the Raiders.

Andy Oakland has been on fire as of late for the Raiders. Coming off a 45 point performance against the Rebels, Oakland added another three pointer to his already great total to start the scoring for the Raiders. From there, the Eagles took over basically all control. SWC went up 13-5 in the first five minutes of the game before coach Colby Pack took a timeout to sort out a gameplan. The Eagles never let up after the timeout, however. After a goaltending call and a layup by Oakland, the Eagles went up 26-9 before Fulda had to burn another timeout.

After play resumed, the Eagles went on the attack once again. Though the offense dominated the game for SWC, the Raiders were able to slowly pick up some offense themselves. Oakland even added a couple more three point shots before the half closed. Despite the efforts of the Raiders, SWC went into the locker room with a 64-28 commanding lead over Fulda.

The Eagles picked up right where they left out as the buzzer sounded to start the second half of the game. One by one, SWC racked up the points while Fulda’s offense dwindled down. By the end of the game, the Raiders were able to slow the Eagle’s offense down after the subsitutions came in. However, the damage was already done and the Eagles went on to win, 89-42.

Andy Oakland led the Raiders in scoring as he added another 15 points and grabbed seven rebounds. Zach Holt and Trevor Reusch each contributed six points as well in the contest.
