The State Highway Patrol has issued a reminder to Minnesota motorists that 1963 license tabs must be displaced March 1 and thereafter. After that date drivers without tabs affixed will be subject to tagging.
Northwestern Bell Telephone plans to change Fulda from manual to dial operation in the fall of 1963. The plans include construction of a new 814 square foot, one story masonry building located on Lafayette Street.The building will house new dial switching equipment.
Mrs. Art Becker rites were held in Worthington on Tuesday. Mrs. Daisey Becker passed away at the age of 58 years old
Mrs. A. Prigge laid to rest on Monday. Mrs. Elsie Prigge passed away Thursday evening after having emergency surgery on Wednesday.
Mrs. Peter Mathias fell while shopping and fractured her arm. She is in the Heron Lake hospital.
Julius Clausen fell from a grain wagon while helping with farm work breaking his hip. His in the Mountain Lake hospital.
Mrs. Harold Konold fell while carrying a large cooker to her car gashing her jaw, loosening teeth and injuring her arms and legs. She was treated at Worthington, but has since been quite ill and uncomfortable.
Marie Redecker and Leo Maciolek were united in marriage on February 23th at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Milan, Illinois.
Mr. and Mrs. Ed Strubles note their Golden Wedding anniversary quietly at their home on February 20th.
Mrs. Loren Janssen is hospitalized with a kidney infection.
Jeanie Sieverding and Franklin Kunze announce their engagement. No wedding date has been set.

Mayor Craig Shea presented Joe Schindler with a gold pocket watch as well as a plaque in appreciation o fall his years of service to the city of Fulda at a recent Employee party.
Pre school screening is scheduled for March 30th.
The single emergency telephone number 9-1-1 replaced all emergency police, sheriff, fire, medical, and ambulance numbers in Nobles County with the activation of newly purchased equipment this week. The system provides a toll-free call from anywhere in the county including pay phones. All 9-1-1 calls will automatically be routed to the Nobles-Worthington Security Center where the dispatcher will determine the nature of the emergency and alert the property agency.
The speech team took top honors at the Pipestone Invitational on Saturday.

William J. Bachman passed away on February 23rd at the age of 84 years old.
Clarence H. Tolzin passed away on February 25th after a lengthy illness at the age of 70 years old.

The DNR approves plan to establish permanent water levels at Lake Corabelle.
The Fulda Food Shelf is marking its eighth year of continued service to the community. The food shelf originated as an idea from the Jaycees and the Jaycee Women (now known as Women of Today) to help families who were feeling the effects of the farm crisis in our area.
The Fulda City Council voted to increase the ambulance rate from $125.00 to $175.00.

Alicia Hart enjoyed spending four days as a high school page for the House of Representatives at the State Capitol.
Nora Ramert passed away on February 22nd at the age of 93 years old.
