A deal was completed and on Monday of last week Leroy Lanoue took over operation of Appel's Bar in Iona. He intends to operate the bar as previously with the addition of live music on Saturday evenings.

Mr. and Mrs. Paul Olsem are the parents of a son, Donald, born March 12 in Worthington.
Mr. and Mrs. Richard Gunderman are the parents of a son, Gregory, born March 14 in Slayton.
Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Goshey are the parents of a son born March 18. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Henry Schroeder and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Goshey.
Emil Haberman passed away on Wednesday at the age of 83 years old.
Gordon Gregor, 20, passed away on March 3rd after being electrocuted in a car accident.
Funeral services were held on March 14th for Brent Bultman infant son of Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Bultman. Born on March 2, Brent was undergoing preparation tests for heart surgery ant the University of Minnesota when he passed away.
George M. Miller passed away in his sleep on Monday morning, March 18th.
Patricia Wisdorf and Jack Steffes announce their engagement. The wedding date is April 27.

Audrey Lund and Frank Lunch announce their engagement. A May 14th wedding is being planned.
Christopher LeRoy was born on February 23rd to Mr. and Mrs. Dan Huls. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Maynard Huls and Mr. and Mrs. John Huls.
