Barn Doctors submitted the low bid for the renovation of the cattle barn at the fairgrounds. The work may be started whenever they are ready and to be completed by June 1, 2014. Estimated $30,000 has been raised by donations and $70,000 has been budgeted for building repair at the fairgrounds. The bid was $134,887.00.

After much discussion, Commissioners James Jens and Dave Thiner will determine what needs to be done on Judicial 11. Several petitions had been submitted over time and since the tile lines seem to be working they will look further down the line.

An update of the fair was given by Commissioner Moline. Attendance was very good, the sidewalks were a good addition, and the sound system was beneficial to find three lost children. He also commended the parks department for the “tremendous” job of assisting with the fair.

A $200 donation from the The Swanson Family to the End-O-Line Park as accepted. The donation is to be used for a a memorial for Shirley Halvoison.
