In Memory of Larry Reith

Larry Clarence Reith, the son of Norbert and Dorothy (Beck) Reith, was born on February 5, 1950 in Slayton, MN. He grew up on the family farm and attended St. Gabrielís Catholic School in Fulda and graduated from the Fulda High School in 1969. Larry entered the U.S. Marines and served in Okinawa. He was united in marriage to Mary Olsem on November 28, 1981 at St. Maryís Catholic Church in Dundee. After their marriage they lived near Fulda. Larry then entered the Army Reserves and served in the Gulf War and served until his retirement. He worked for many years as a lineman for Alliant Energy in Fulda. Due to failing health he retired in 2011. Larry passed away on Friday, September 13, 2013 at the Worthington Sanford Hospital at the age of 63. He was a member of St. Gabrielís Church. He also belonged to the Fulda American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed farming, his family, having coffee in the morning, going for walks, fishing, watching football and playing cards.

Survivors include his wife, Mary Reith of Fulda, MN; daughter, Laura (Oscar) Chitay of Worthington, MN; 3 grandchildren, Tony, Noah and Gloriann; mother, Dorothy Reith of Fulda, MN; 3 brothers, Harold (Pat) Reith of Long Prairie, MN, Donald (Roxanne) Reith of Fulda, MN and Gerald (Becky) Reith of Casterville, TX; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, sister, Rosemary and brother, Dennis.

Funeral Services were held atSt. Gabrielís Catholic Church Fulda, MN at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 16, 2013 with Fr. Jim Callahan officiating. The organist iwas Mary Ann Boom. The song leader was Lloyd Winter. The pallbearers were Travis Reith, Cory Reith, Scott Reith, Josh Reith, Brian Kleven and Brandon Kleven. Interment at St. Gabrielís Catholic Cemetery Fulda, MN. Military honors provided by the Fulda VFW Post 9017 and American Legion Post 318. The Totzke Funeral Home in Fulda is assisted the family with arrangements.
