Thursday, Nov. 21, 1963

Relatives and friends gave Mr. and Mrs. Theo Dierks a housewarming Sunday for dinner at their new home in town.

Gold mums and bronze daisies with lighted candles at the alter of St. Gabriel's Catholic Church made for a lovely fall setting for the marriage of Joan Larson and Robert Killen on November 9th.

Forty boys reported for basketball practice at the Fulda Jr. Sr. High School. The returning lettermen are Richard Tolzin, Dennis Phelps, Richard Drealan, Ronald Ommen and Randy Kramer.

Citizens of Tomorrow include Allan Evers, Todd Pederson, Glenda Gerber, Roland Miller, Cindy Davis and Wanda Kremer.

Fulda Cooperative Oil Company, located on the corner of Front Street and St. Paul Ave., is holding its Grand Opening on November 22-23.

Dr. and Mrs. Donald Palleson are the parents of a daughter, Teresa Ann, born October 27th. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Palleson.

Mr. and Mrs. Andy Engelkes are the parents of a daughter, Sandra Kay, born November 14th.

Mr. and Mrs. Marion Olson are the parents of a son, born November 18th. Mr. and Mrs. Harry Hinrichs and Mr. and Mrs. Ole A. Olson are the grandparents.

Mr. and Mrs. Pat Peddycoart are the parents of a boy, Troy, born November 9th.

Thursday, Nov. 24, 1983

Paul Brunk and LeRoy Biren treated local young people to a horse drawn ride during Fulda Awareness Week.

The Fulda City Council will be discussing a water rate increase at the December 5th meeting.

Project Cope, a nursery program at the Fulda Public School, received a new toy kitchen set thanks to the hard work of Nyla Nangle and Cathy Hopkins. Linda Beerman is the instructor.

Boys basketball returning lettermen are Dave Jans, Bob Garman, Dave Beckman and Tom Scully. Girls basketball returning letterwinners are Janet Halbur, Mel Jurrens, Marti Sturm, Mary Schoeb, Karmel Honius, Lisa Heintz, Lisa Schipper and Diane Oolman.

Citizens of Tomorrow include Colin Wilde, Billie Jo, Jamie and Kristin Timmerman, and Michelle Penoyer.

A Luther Fair was held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church last week with skits and songs as well as a performance by the cherub choir and the children's choir. The Fair produced by the school children was a summary of their studies of Martin Luther.

Fulda Senior Citizens Club celebrates their 25th anniversary.

Fare Share program encourages volunteerism and cooperation in the community.

Jodi Beckmann shares her experience with eating disorders and how they almost cost her her life.

Holiday Dollars are available and give the buyer the opportunity to save 10 percent on purchases in the community.

Citizens of Tomorrow include Kari Handy, Jordan Steiner, and Kaitlin Holinka.

Santa Claus is coming to town on Saturday, December 4th.

Interim pastor, Reverend Dave Christman is serving the First Presbyterian Church.

Diane Ruesch and David Spomer were married on October 9th at the First Baptist Church in Worthington.

Elmer Prahm passed away on November 20th at the age of 85 years old.

Roger Hellwinckel passed away after a year's battle with cancer. Funeral services were held on November 13th.
