The Fulda Free Press pays tribute to the late John F. Kennedy stating; “He has achieved success who has lived well, laughed often, and loved much.” These words can so ably be applied to the life of our late President, John F. Kennedy. Surely, he was an individual who lived each day acting as if it were impossible to fail. Mr. Kennedy lived well in light of the fact that he was constantly striving to make this world a better place in which to live. Perhaps more so than any other person, he devoted untiring effort toward the goal of peaceful world coexistence. … To say Mr. Kennedy loved much, would perhaps be the understatement of time. It is evident that this man loved everything the United States stood for...
The annual village election will be held on Tuesday, December 3rd at the village city hall. Running for trustee is Marvin Heinrichs; Treasurer is A. H. Bodelson; Justice of the Peace is E. W. Beckman and running for Constable is Emil A. Sell.
The V.F.W. and American Legion are holding a “Come as You Were Discharged” party and dance on December 6th.

Two separate storm systems moved through the area surrounding the Thanksgiving holiday and leaving 8 to 12 inches of snow in its wake. Snow and wind first arrived Tuesday causing poor visibility and forcing local schools to close early. The second storm moved through the area Sunday afternoon and through the night. Not only did the local school close, but also the storm dumped enough snow in the area to create an excellent sliding hill, which extended from the roof of the school to the parking lot.
The Fulda City Council met with local truckers Monday night to discuss the driving and parking of trucks in the Fulda city limits.
Dave and Michele Meyer wish to announce the birth of a daughter, Linden Michele born November 10th. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Bernard Ramert and Mr. and Mrs. Harold Meyer.
Mr. and Mrs. David Balt are the parents of a son, Jason born November 10th. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Edwin Balt and Mr. and Mrs. Merrill Sterler.
Diane Zemler tops the charts with a 202 in bowling at the Fulda Rec this and is closely followed by Dar Hammerschmidt with a 200.

The first major snowfall of the season caused many to change their Thanksgiving plans at the last minute. The storm moved through the region on Wednesday afternoon and evening, dumping an average of eight to ten inches of snow in the area.
Residents who live on Roy Avenue have joined together to decorate their avenue with Reindeer for the Christmas season complete with a sign stating “Reindeer Lane”.
The Fulda Women of Today are sponsoring a 'Lights of the Week” contest.
Vonda Beckman knew that her dog was special even before he became a celebrity. Clyde, a 105-pound chow/rottweiler cross was selected to appear as Mr. December on the Purina Dog chow calendar.
Citizens of Tomorrow include Eileen and Emily Heintz, Adam and Alexandra Joy, and Mollie Rae and Jalen Getting.
Brenda Welling and Jim Hansen were united in marriage on September 16th at Waverly Lutheran Church in Truman.
James Van Dam passed away peacefully on November 20, at the age of 41 years old.
Tim and Theresa Roberts are the parents of a girl, Malory Jo born November 25th. Grandparents include Phil and Lois Elskamp.
