Bronze and white chrysanthemums at the altar with lighted candelabra made a beautiful setting on Saturday evening, November 30th at First Lutheran in Dundee for the wedding of Maxine Hilfers and Jerome Schmidt.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday for William Janssen who passed away on December 2nd.

Shirley Fries and Jon D. Sturm announce their engagement. No definite wedding date has been set.

Mr. and Mrs. Duane Odenbrett announce the adoption of a son, Mathew on November 27th. Mathew was born on September 24th. Grandparents include Mr. And Mrs. Ed Zins and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Odenbrett.

Doc Schwarz has been elected governor of the State Archery Association.

Tom Webb has been elected Mayor of Fulda receiving 145 votes over Roland Miller who received 120 votes.

Lloyd and Shirley Dierks were pleasantly surprised on Friday evening when guests came in honor of their tenth wedding anniversary.

The Fulda Raider basketball team edged Mountain Lake in a real thriller of a game 61-58. Leading scorer for the Raiders was Sam Nelson with 25 points.

Randy Larson finished putting the long strings of lights on the Fulda water tower last week. The Christmas decorations are now up all over town.

The Fulda City Council voted to increase the water rate $8 on the minimum and 90¢ per thousand after 3000 gallons.

Sharyl Jensen and Greg Zeno were married in Mankato at First Presbyterian Church on November 5th.

Four Raider wrestlers came home champions from the Pipestone Invitational on Saturday, Les Engler, Dennis Paplow, Bob Czepa and Tim Ramerth.

Citizens of Tomorrow include Jasmine and Michael Lund, Nicole Ommen, and Erin Sauer.

Ben Fuerstenberg passed away November 26th at the age of 83.

Nancy Overman is the voice of Democracy winner.

Murray County Sheriff Ron McKenzie and Police Chief Bob Harris recommended the city put up a repeater tower for communications. The tower would help hand held portable radio use in the area.

The Fulda historical depot received a $5,000 emergency fix up grant. Charlie Hopkins says the funds will help change the old building in to a wonderful museum.

Brad Wieskus has been selected as the Daughters of the American Revolution Good Citizen and will receive a scholarship.

The VFW Post 9017 has presented a new U. S. flag to the Fulda Senior Citizen Center.

Citizens of Tomorrow are Mathew, Amanda and Annette Kremer, Joshua and Lacey DeGreef, and Alisa, Danyel and Marcus Schweigert.

Rebecca Clausen and Daniel Fox were united in marriage on July 19th at St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Egan.

Ernest Evers passed away on December 4th at the age of 93 years old.

Raymond “Ole” Landers passed away on December 6th at the age of 86 years old.
