School board starts process to make cuts

The Fulda school board voted on the resolution directing school administration to review the district's programs and services for possible reduction in programs, services and personnel for the 2014-2015 school year. The motion was approved at the regular board meeting on Tuesday, January 14, by a unanimous vote.

In the consent agenda, two students open enrolled to the Fulda district and one out to the Worthington district.

Jessica Mitchell reported for Community Ed that the pool filling process was started on January 2nd following heater inspection. The pool is being filled at a rate of 10,000 gallons per day for a total of 160,000 gallons.

The IRS has established 56 cents for business miles driven. The business, medical and moving rates were decreased by one half cent. The school board has been paying 10 cents less than federally established. The motion to remain at 10 cent below the established rate was approved.
