Rousing marches were part of the repertoire of songs performed at the Fulda High School and Fulda Elementary Band Concert held on Monday evening at the Fulda High School gymnasium.

The four bands that performed were the 5th and 6th grade Elementary Band, Jazz Band, 7th and 8th grade junior high band and the Fulda High School Band.

Entry of the Lancers and Glenwood March were the two numbers performed by the Elementary School Band. In the Mood, played by the Jazz Band featured Melissa Gehl and Matt Kunerth on saxophone solos, as well as Alli VandenBosch and Dani Hermeling in trumpet solos. Country Mile featured a trumpet solo by Dani Hermeling. Call Me Maybe included Sariah Cheadle on guitar and Nikki Sandhurst on piano.

The Junior High Band, which director Matt Saxman said was “not a large band, but large at heart,” played Genius by Larry Clark, Tropical Twilight by Eris Osterling, and Land Rover March by Greg Kerkorian.

Three numbers were performed by the Senior High Band. They were March of the Belgian Parachutists, On a Hymnsong of Philip Bliss, and An English Folk Song Suite. The last number featured trumpet solos by Alli VandenBosch and Dani Hermeling, Sariah Cheadle on the oboe and a clarinet solo by Katelyn Renneke.

The concert featured over 100 musicians.
