Students participate in State BPA Conference
The State BPA Spring Leadership Conference was held in Minneapolis, MN at the Hyatt Regency March 6-8, 2014. Over 1,200 students participated.

A highlight of the conference was Sharon Carroll’s receiving the Distinguished Service Award.

Carroll was nominated in February for Advisor of the Year by Mrs. Penny Troe, Business Education Teacher, BPA Advisor, Concession Manager from the Worthington High School.

“Sharon has been an amazing mentor to me for over the past 16 years," stated Troe. “She is always willing to help out whenever needed and always is willing to go the extra mile.”

According to Troe, Carroll’s attributes include being a wonderful role model for all. “Sharon is willing to help even when life throws many obstacles in her way,” said Troe. “She is always upbeat and friendly to everyone including students, advisors, and judges.”

Sharon Carroll’s has been dedicated to education for many years;

She has been a Business Teacher for 30 years

In Vocational Education 3 years

She served as BPA Advisor for 27 years

And has been a Media Specialist 9 years

Sharon was nominated for Advisor of the Year but was upgrade to receive the Distinguished Service Award. Congratulations Sharon.
