Easter was one of the warmest that I remember with temperatures in the eighties.
Easter was one of the warmest that I remember with temperatures in the eighties. The tree buds are popping and the grass is green, but we are in bad need of rain. We have had several promises that turned out dry. Southwest Minnesota, as well as much of South Dakota, has been in a no burning situation that won't change until we have some significant rain. It may happen Tuesday night or Wednesday.

I, like most folks, have the coughing, cold sorta thing that's going around. Its the head cold with sore throat, weary eyes, a nose that runs and congestion of everything else. Having a clear thought is painful. There are a lot of people who have had it for a week or two. I wish you the best of luck avoiding it.

Saturday night in the city of Hadley the Murray County Pheasants Forever will hold their 28th banquet. Tickets are available at the door. You're invited to share the fun and give the local pheasants a boost. We know how we feel about the long cold winter with more than our share of snow.

Monday night after work, after a brief meeting, after dinner my loving wife with the tenderness of a rattle snake, called me a big wuss and told me to pack up to go to the VA Emergency Room. It was one of those get well or die moments. Hopefully, I will be able to tell you how this works out.

Q: How many men does it take to change a toilet paper roll?

A: No one knows, it's never been done.
