"A service of recognition was held on Sunday, June 29, 2014 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Fulda, for a number of teachers who had served at St. Paul's Lutheran School in honor of their years of service to the Lord and His Church through the teaching ministry.

Highlighted among the Lutheran educators was Mrs. Wendy Buschena, who was retiring after 22 years of teaching at St. Paul's Lutheran School, Fulda. Mrs. Buschena had most recently been teaching the first and second grades. She was honored by the congregation with a rose and a plaque which read, "St. Paul's Evangelical Lutheran Church hereby recognizes with appreciation and gratitude Wendy Buschena for twenty-two years of service and dedication as a Lutheran educator at St. Paul's Lutheran School, Fulda, Minnesota."

"Mrs. Buschena has been a great teacher at our school and a wonderfully involved member of St. Paul's church. She has invested her teaching career in preparing students for the fundamentals of everyday life and has given them the instruction and skills they need to trust in Jesus throughout this life to life everlasting," Rev. Shawn Ethridge stated. "We are very proud of her longevity at St. Paul's Lutheran School and her commitment to Christian education."

Also recognized on June 29th were fellow St. Paul's teachers Mrs. Nancy Sajban, who taught at the school for three years, Miss Christy Milbrath, who taught at St. Paul's for ten years, and Mrs. Leah Baumann, who taught for twelve years at the school and served as the principal for eight.
