Fulda City Council – Cameras and signage put into use at the city dump

The Fulda City Council met Monday, May 5, with the appropriate distancing. The two hour meeting that covered bringing water well number nine back on line and  the sewer hook ups which are limited to in city limits only. Some have in the past been allowed to hook up by error.  There will be none allowed in the future.

The council wants to know what you think about the future of the tennis courts. Do you see what could be better use of the space? The city is asking for your input before they take on the task and expense of resurfacing the tennis courts.

It appears the Wood Duck Festival will be canceled for this year but there is some uncertainty about the fireworks.There is a possibility of a blood  drive in the near future.

The city will be splitting the cost with the Legion to seal coat the Legion parking lot. Total cost is $3,000 for the project. The Roll-Ins planned for this summer will have alcohol on the streets, approved by the council.

The city dump held the attention of the council as they talked about the misuse. Cameras and signage will be put into use. The city dump is for the purpose of disposal by city residents. There are some exceptions made by checking with city hall.

Building permits were approved for Barry Holinka to remove and replace some concrete, Chad Ouellette – new patio, Laura Chitey – fence for backyard, Randy Donahue – remove garage and install a new one, Ryan Baumgartner – paver patio, Seth Ossefoort – concrete pad and fence for patio and Terry Lewis – paver patio and fire pit.

The next regular meeting will be June 1.
