A Holiday Choir Concert was performed by students at Fulda High School on Monday evening. To set the mood of the evening, pianist Kaitlyn VandenBosch  played several pre-concert carols.

The Raider Serenaders performed KeSha’s “Praying”. The lady Raider Serenaders sang Adolphe Adam’s “O Holy Night”.

Next to perform was the Junior High Schoir who sang “Spirit of Christmas”, “Silent and Still” and a medley of “Four White Horses” and “I Want Candy”. The last number was enhanced by percussionists Abel Piper, Ryland Klein, and Ethan Nielsen.

Vocal Soloist Mikala Dierks performed Richard Carpenter and Frank Pooler’s “Merry Christmas, Darling.”

“The 12 Days of Christmas Vacation” (alternative lyrics to The 12 Days of Christmas) was the first song performed by the Senior high Choir. It was followed by “Little of Your Love”, “Tiny King”, and “Sing to the Baby Child” with accompanist Camryn Baumhoefner.

To close out this year’s holiday choir concert, the choir sang the traditional French Carol “Angels We Have Heard on High”. Flautists Hailee Guinn, McKenzie Evers, London Swan, Frances Piper, and Taylor Bitker accompanied this song.

The music  was performed under the direction of Matt Saxman.
