In loving memory of Kaleen Christians

1944-KALEEN CHRISTIANS-2020

Kaleen Faye Christians, the daughter of Raymond and Lenor (Craun) Kilker, was born on August 24, 1944 in Worthington, MN. She grew up in Worthington and attended school there, graduating from Worthington High School in 1962. Kaleen was united in marriage to Burdell Christians on December 4, 1961 at the Church of Christ in Worthington. After their marriage they lived in Glasgow, MT where Burdell was stationed with the Air Force. The only time they were apart is when Burdell was stationed in Turkey for 18 months. During that time they wrote daily. In May of 1964 they moved to Fulda, MN. Kaleen cared for not only her grandchildren but several other special families including, Corey, Tara and Travis Boehnke, Sara, Elizabeth and Kim Sauer, Sarah and Caitlin Stenge, Aron Hulstein, Kamryn Chapman and Taylor and Tara Tuin. They were all like one of her own and very much enjoyed following them even after they left her care and particularly loved visits from them. Kaleen passed away on Wednesday, February 26, 2020 at the Sanford USD Medical Center in Sioux Falls, SD at the age of 75. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Fulda. Kaleen collected village pieces and dolls, loved flowers which adorned the outside of her home and particularly enjoyed receiving them and were proudly displayed on the kitchen table. Her loves were baking and cooking and most of all her family – Kaleen was the foundation of the family. She called everyone almost daily just to check to see how things were going. The best gift for her was having all her family together…this was priceless and she soaked up every minute.
