Murray County Board proceedings May 5, 2020

A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

May 5, 2020 8:30 a.m., Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present in person: Commissioners Dennis Welgraven and Lori Gunnink. Present via phone were Commissioners David Thiner, James Jens and James Kluis. Also present in person were County Administrator Thomas Burke and Human Resources Director Ronda Radke. County Attorney Travis Smith was absent. Heidi Winter, Travis Radke, Randy Groves, Keith Rossow, and Carl Nyquist joined the meeting via phone.

MSP to approve the agenda.

MSP to approve the minutes from the April 28, 2020 meeting.

There was no one present for Open Forum.

MSP that all claims as presented were approved for payment. The Chairman was authorized to sign the Audit List dated May 5, 2020 with fund totals as follows and warrants numbered 162065 through 162098:

County Revenue Fund 26,418.65

County Road & Bridge Fund 25,659.94

Sunrise Terrace 230.52

Total 52,309.11

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditches No. 46, 47 and Judicial Ditch No. 14 totaling $3,361.90.

MSP to approve hiring Nathan Everson as a seasonal Surveying Technician in the Highway Department effective May 25, 2020 at a temporary wage grade 2, step 1. Contingent upon satisfactory results of a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug test.

MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditches 43A, 75 and Judicial Ditch No. 14.

MSP to approve the committee reports for April 19 through May 2, 2020.

MSP to open the bathroom faculties at Marsh’s Landing, Lake Sarah East, and Lime Lake Park to the fisherman.

MSP to sign the Certification of the County Board of Commissioners for the Fish and Wildlife Service who recently secured a purchase agreement from Gary and Susan Johnson, in Mason TWP. Township One Hundred Seven (107) North, Range Forty-one (41) West, Fifith Principal Meridian: In section sixteen (16), the North Half of the Northwest Quarter (N1/2NW1/4), containing 80 acres, more or less, and subject to existing easements of record, if any.

MSP and approved to accept the low bid from A&C Excavating LLC of $766,518.93 for the Moulton Township Bridges SAP 051-599-101, SAP 051-599-106, SAP 051-599-108.
