A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

April 28, 2020 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present in person: Commissioners Welgraven and Gunnink. Present via phone were Commissioners Thiner, Jens and Kluis. Also present in person were Thomas Burke and Ronda Radke. Travis Smith, Heidi Winter, Travis Radke, Randy Groves, Jean Christoffels, Janet Timmerman, Jacob Etrheim, and Carl Nyquist joined the meeting via phone.

MSP to approve the agenda.

MSP to approve the minutes from the April 21, 2020 meeting.

There was no one present for Open Forum.

MSP to approve ditch contractor bills for County Ditch No. 40 and Judicial Ditches No. 2N(2), 10, 13, 18 totaling $2,788.00.

MSP Resolution 2020-04-28-01, Resolution to Participate in the 2020 Performance Measures Program.

MSP to approve ditch inspection report for County Ditches No. 42, 61 and Judicial Ditches No. 7, 20A, 26.

MSP to approve Conditional Use Permit #l370 for Lost Timber Bible Camp to erect one sign with greater than 32 square feet and less than or equal to 64 square feet per surface in the Agriculture District in the NEI/4, Section 2, Moulton Township, with the findings and no special conditions recommended by the Planning Commission.

MSP to approve the Murray County Soil & Water Conservation District (SWCD) quarterly allocation request.

MSP to authorize an expenditure of $500 of unused grant funds to the Minnesota Historical Society from the End-O-Line Railroad Park and Museum’s Turntable Conditions Assessment Grant in 2019.

MSP to authorize Museum Department staff to apply for a Legacy Grant through the Minnesota Historical Society for preservation projects on the manual turntable at End-O-Line Railroad Park and Museum with a county contribution of up to $5,000.00.

MSP to set a bid opening for box culvert project SP 051-617-011 for June 2, 2020 at 9:00 a.m.

MSP to approve the CP 01-20 maintenance striping contract with Traffic Marking Service, Inc. and authorize the Board Chair and Auditor-Treasurer to sign it.

COVID-19 UPDATE County Administrator Thomas Burke and Emergency Management/Safety Director Carl Nyquist led a discussion on Murray County’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic.
