A SUMMARY OF THE PROCEEDINGS OF THE MURRAY COUNTY BOARD

September 24, 2019 8:30 a.m. Pursuant to notice, the Murray County Board of Commissioners convened with the following members present: Commissioners Gunnink, Jens, Kluis, Thiner, and Welgraven. Also present were Thomas Burke, Travis Smith, and Amy Rucker.

MSP to approve the agenda as modified.

MSP to approve the minutes of the September 13, 2019 meeting as presented and the minutes of the September 17, 2019 meeting with changes.

MSP to ratify the fund transfers and investments for August 2019.

MSP to approve Pay Application No. 5 to Sussner Construction, Inc. for the Courts Building Remodel Project in the amount of $3,591.

Open Forum / Public Comment: Verlyn Brouwer was present.

MSP Resolution 2019-09-24-01, Adoption of The Murray County All-Hazard Mitigation Plan.

MSP to approve ditch inspection report for Judicial Ditch No. 14.

MSP to approve a two-year grant contact for $4,497 each fiscal year with the State of Minnesota’s Department of Natural Resources (DNR) to participate in the Off Highway Vehicle (OHV) Enforcement Grant Program for July 1, 2019 through June 30, 2021, further authorizing the Board Chair to sign the agreement.

MSP Resolution 2019-09-24-02, Recommending the Appointment of Bill Ufkin and Mitch Kling to the Lincoln Pipestone Rural Water System Board of Commissioners.

MSP to change the cafeteria plan vision carrier to VSP with a four-year rate guarantee effective January 1, 2020.

MSP to change the cafeteria plan Short-Term and Long-Term Disability carrier to Lincoln Financial effective January 1, 2020.

MSP Resolution 2019-09-24-03, A Resolution Setting the 2020 Preliminary Levy and Budget Hearing

MSP to join the Minnesota Rural Counties membership group for two years at a cost of $2,200 per year.

MSP to approve the Commissioner Vouchers for the period of September 8, 2019 to September 21, 2019.
