The Game and Fish Club would appreciate it if the farmers having fox and rabbits on their farms would contact either Joe Norris or Dick Durnan as they are planning a hunt for February 7th.

Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Penrod announce the engagement their daughter, Susan, to Mr. Games Sneer, son of Mrs. Sneer and Mr. Sneer. An early spring wedding is planned.

Bingham Lake youth arrested for area robberies Wednesday morning. A midnight burglary binge in a stolen car that spread over four counties ended with their capture. The two have admitted to burglaries in Windom, Wilder, Heron Lake, Dundee and Fulda. In Fulda, they were caught in the act by Police Officer Emil Sell who proceeded with a car chase long enough to get the license number which led to the arrest. The loot was recovered from its hiding place in the potato bin of an abandoned farm house north of Mt. Lake. Recovered were 60 bottles of whiskey, 200 packs of cigarettes, $80 cash, six and one-half cases of beer and auto accessories.

Mr. and Mrs. Arvin Wildfeuer are the parents of a son, Lyle, born January 14th.

Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Tobin are the parents of a son born January 21st.

Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Johlfs are happy over the arrival of a baby boy born January 26th. Proud grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Anton Sturm and Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Johlfs, this being the first grand-child for each of them.

The City of Fulda has applied for a Water Tower and Treatment Plant loan. The total cost of the water tower will be over $750,000.

Ray Kremer, long time Fulda businessman, passed away on January 22nd. Mr. Kremer will be most remembered for his contagious laugh, listening ear, and his ability to tell a good joke, as well as his barber skills.

Citizens of Tomorrow include Alicia Peterson, Laura Reith and Sarah Raddle.

Fulda exchange students Veronika Moravcoca and Dario Bergamini spent part of their vacation in San Diego, California, at Sea World.

Climb Theatre from the Twin Cities stopped in Fulda last week Tuesday to put on a presentation for the elementary students.

The Murray County Sheriff’s Department recently  completed renovations to the dispatcher’s office.

Representative Ted Winter visits with the Fulda School Board concerning the MN State High School League Amateur Sport Commission – ‘Our point is to protect our kids, their health and education,” stated Board Chair Marv Isder.

A winter mix of weather blew threw the area on Wednesday afternoon causing the sirens to sound the alarm. No not a tornado or and air raid – just a malfunction.
