Funeral services held for Luke J. Cosgriff who died September 3 after an illness of several months.

Fulda Lions Club sponsors essay contest for the youth of Fulda and the surrounding area. The challenge is to develop a plan for world peace by their local Lions Club – a challenge that could earn one of them a $25,000 grant.

Ruth Wiener and Glen Ruesch were united in marriage on September 3, 1966 at Immanuel American Lutheran Church.

Mary Ann Winter and Harlan J. Boom were united in marriage on August 21, 1966 at St. Gabriel’s Church in Fulda.

Mr. and Mrs. Dean Moller are the parents of a son, Steven born September 2nd. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Jess Wells and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Moller.

Mr. and Mrs. Roger Kasperson are the parents of a son, Ryan born on September 1st. Grandparents include Mr. and Mrs. Lorence Gunderman and Mr. and Mrs Norbert Kasperson.

Mr. and Mrs. Gary Beckman are the parents of a daughter born September 4th weighing 6 pounds 1/4  ounces.

Steve Salentiny, a member of the Fulda FFA Chapter has been named a Gold Award winner in regional competition for the National FFA Swine Production Proficiency Award.

Teresa Kass, a member of the Fulda FHA chapter was selected to participate at the Minnesota State Fair with her Action Activity Event in Ounce of Prevention category.

The Fulda Women of Today accompanied the residents of New Dawn on a hayride thanks to Paul Brunk and his team of horses.

Emery Brady and Minnie Coffit were voted Fulda’s Outstanding Senior Citizens and received awards at the Murray County Fair.

Fulda with host the TOPS Fall Rally on September 6th at the Fulda High School.
