Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Roberts announce the engagement of their daughter, Sherilyn Lei Momi to Rodney Allen Lundeen. An October wedding is planned.

Fulda’s 6th annual water festival will be held Sunday, July 24th.

Miss Dianna Moen and Gerald Smith were united in marriage on Saturday, June 11th, at the Christ Lutheran Church in Slayton.

Arnold Beek of Dundee Milling participated in the ground-breaking ceremonies for Kent Feeds ne Feed-matic Plant at Estherville, Iowa on June 7th.

Lifeguards are on duty at the local beach, seven days a week. There is still time to register for swim lessons.

Mr. and Mrs. Robert Reese are the parents of a daughter born Sunday, June 12th.  Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Don Huebner and Mr. and Mrs John Reese.

Mr. and Mrs. Charles Buschena are the parents of a daughter born June 10th. Grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Victor Kommes and Mr. and Mrs. Ed Buschena.

Fulda Area Lake Preservation Corp. held their first annual fishing contest on June 8th.

Bob Harris of North Mankato has taken over the job as Fulda Police Officer.

The Cottonwood County Parks Department will be holding an open house at Talcot Lake County Park on June 15th.

Murray County residents are encouraged to carefully pack up their household hazardous wastes and bring them to a free one day collection center in Slayton.

Fulda Summer Festival buttons are now available. The 26th annual Summer Festival is set for July 11-12-13.

Fulda Elementary School was named runner-up in the Weekly Reader Balloon Contest.

Kayla Grupe and Dayton Westra announce their engagement. The couple is planning an August 16th wedding.

Lynn Ramerth and Michael Dierks were united in marriage on Saturday, May 17th, at St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Fulda.

Katherine Zieske and Myron Jonas were united in matrimony at St. Gabriel’s Church in Fulda with Father John Traufler officiating.

Nicholas H. Probst passed away June 2nd after an illness of 6 weeks.

The Fulda Marching Band will participate in the Cherry Festival in Traverse City, Michigan during the week of July 8-15.

Mapleview Estates began housing it’s first residents this past week. Martha Goedtke was the first tenant.

Fulda American Legion Baseball schedule is announced. The team is guided by Brent Riess and consists of boys ages 14 to 18.

Fulda Senior Dining site installs new council members.

Fulda Wood Duck Festival to be held June 21-23.

Maple Lawn Nursing Home’s Resident of the Month is Lela Kelly.

Funeral services for James Loosbrock were held June 8th at St. Kilian’s Catholic Church.

John Patrick Kremer died accidentally on June 4th at the age of 45 years old.

Funeral services for Mary Olson were held on June 10th at St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Madison, SD.

Dr. James and Lois Creech are the parents of a daughter, Hannah, born May 12th. Grandparents include James Creech and Alvin and Arlene Heintz.

Dan and Teresa Halbur are the proud parents of a new daughter, Katelyn born May 24th. Grandparents are Eldon and Elaine Gehl and Roger and Joanne Halbur.

Darren Johnson and Connie Steffen are proud to announce the birth of their son, Levi born June 3rd. Grandparents are Bill and Dorothy Johnson and Eldred and Darlene Froderman.

Lynn Olsem and James Sinclair were married April 27th at All Saints Catholic Church in Des Moines, IA with Father Anthony Aiello officiating.

Laura Wendorff was the highest Raider finisher at the state track meet as she earned a fourth-place medal in the high jump.

Kasey Aanenson nabs 11th place at the state golf meet.
