Revival of Dundee Nothing Days

Dundee Nothing Days has been revived by the members of the Dundee Community Club and other people of the area who wanted to bring a day of fun back into the city that lies just eight miles east of Fulda.

The event will take place on Saturday, July 27th. Mark your calendar and plan to spend the day enjoying the activities and entertainment that has been planned.

Dundee Nothing Days was first held in 1974, organized by Dundee businessman, Don Pawlitschek, who was the owner of Dundee Steel at that time.  It was a promotion for his business and he wanted people to enjoy the day without having to spend dollars doing so. Pawlitschek organized the event for two years and discontinued it.

Just a few short years later, Mary Schipper, Sheila Paplow, and Cindy Bristow were instrumental in reviving Dundee Nothing Days and the celebration continued until the approximately 2006. Again, it was decided to discontinue the celebration, but was then re-established for a two-year stint by residents of the Dundee Community.
