LAST STORY TIMES FOR SUMMER READING

10 a.m. or 1 p.m. or 3 p.m. at Fulda Memorial Library

This is the last week of summer reading story times on Wednesdays. This Wednesday, staff from the Fulda Avera Clinic will hold a teddy bear clinic for the preschool and kindergartners (10 a.m.) and the 1st, 2nd, 3rd graders (1 p.m.).  Kids can bring their own plush animal for a check-up, or the library has plenty of stuffed animals for kids to choose from. During the 3 p.m. story time (for 4th, 5th, 6th graders), kids will get to chat with the staff and ask questions.

This is also the final week to vote in the Battle of the Funny Books! From a pool of 8 hilarious picture books, kids and adults have narrowed down to 2 finalists: “The Book with No Pictures” by B.J. Novak versus “Dragons Love Tacos” by Adam Rubin. Both books are read during story time and voting is open until next Wednesday, August 3rd. The winning book will be announced at the Hula Hoop dance workshop on Thursday, August 4th.
